Ngawang Samten

Ngawang Samten is sixteen years old. She was born into a farmer family in Dhingri in the central part of Tibet. Since early childhood she has wanted to become a nun. Her parents had many problems, but they finally managed to send her to Nepal to become a nun. She traveled through the snow mountains and dense forest to reach Nepal. There she took the nun's vow from Trulshik Rinpoche. She stayed there for two years. With help from her sisters and other friends she reached the Turquoise Leaf Nunnery on January 1, 2002. She wishes to become a good practitioner. She has shown great performance on her studies at the nunnery.
