Lama Gelek is sixty-eight years old. He was born in Kham Doshul. He has spent all of his life studying and practicing the pure Dharma. He left all his dear ones behind and faced all the dangers on the way to exile for freedom of religion. He now resides at Tulku Sang-ngag's retreat center, having completed his three year retreat under Rinpoche's guidance. He is the oldest monk at the retreat center, and also the Tibetan physician for the sick monks and nuns.
