EWAM INTERNATIONAL CENTERS

Ewam supports the practice of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal with two nunneries and a monastery and is currently establishing a community in Siliguri, India which will, in addition to the nunnery and monastery, provide schools and a medical clinic. Rinpoche also has established centers in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Montana, and New Mexico. The Turquoise Leaf Nunnery in Nepal was established by Tulku Sang-ngag Rinpoche as a way to help alleviate the terrible conditions and poor treatment of nuns, a gender inequity which Rinpoche feels should be changed.
